You have free parking, WiFi and a secluded patio. Talarfor has easy access to the safe, dog friendly, sandy beach, just a two minute walk down the lane.
Relax in this quiet seaside cottage, Talarfor Barmouth self catering is located on a stunning coastal site, between mountains and sea. This dog friendly beach side holiday home is one mile from the centre of the traditional seaside town and blue flag beach of Barmouth on the North West coast of Wales. Talarfor is ideally placed for beach or sight-seeing holidays, the perfect setting to relax and unwind for young and old alike.
Guests can explore the sandy beach on their doorstep with the dog or visit major attractions of Snowdonia/ Eryri all within easy reach. North Wales is an area of natural beauty and history with castles, the major mountain ranges of Snowdonia and Cader Idris and an impressive coastline, something for everyone! Visit one of the many local attractions such as Portmeirion or Harlech Castle or just relax on the patio, soak up the sea views and listen to the sound of the sea.
The bathroom has an electric shower (large) with a safety grip handle and shower seat for you to use if you choose.
Depending on the weather the heating will be on twice a day, extra hours can be arranged with the owner but there will be a charge for this. Sometimes accidents happen, however any damage or breakages will be charged for at full replacement costs.
The approach lane is steep and narrow but there is free car parking outside your door which is a real bonus. Couples with a dog are welcome. Totally non-smoking inside, this accommodation has stone steps into the garden.

Sleeping
Talarfor comfortably sleeps up to 4 adults. Bedroom one has a standard double and a single bed. Bedroom two is a small room with a single bed. All linen and towels are supplied and beds are made up ready for you.
Interior
An entry porch leads to the comfortable living room with superb views via sliding patio doors and access to your private patio. A modern bathroom with shower is also situated off the porch. Your living room leads to a large kitchen with a dining table moving through to a passage with entry to the bedrooms. Though ground floor there are 2 steps inside and 2 steps outside. You are welcome to contact the owner for clarification.

Talarfor is ground floor two steps internally (with handrail) between kitchen and living room/bathroom areas. Wheelchair users will suffer with a lack of space in the bathroom. It may be suitable for those with limited mobility as there is no walking required to enjoy the view from the patio or from inside the property.

Talarfor is one mile outside Barmouth which is a traditional seaside town wth a picturesque working harbour and vibrant independant shops, pubs, restaurants and a brewery. There are miles of safe sandy beach which is zoned for dog friendly areas and we have donkeys and amusements for the children.
Barmouth is where mountains reach the sea; mountains to explore behind the town and beach in front. It is an easy drive to the Snowdon or Cader Idris mountain ranges and the area has various castles, slate mines and forests if you want a break from the beach. (The very first donation of land to the National Trust was an area of outstanding natural beauty overlooking Barmouth). This is an area of stunning landscapes and coastline, suitable for busy families, a touring base, or for visitors who want peace and quiet.

T may have tried to rain and snow at times but it did not spoil yet another wonderful week. First time staying at Talarfor but it definitely won't be the last. After spending 3 nights here we absolutely are wishing we could have booked longer! We love a place with a view - and this one exceeds them all....the apartment has everything you need and is very comfortable and the welcome treats were much appreciated.
